Kelvin Stephens is a partner with Lindsay Kenney LLP, and a lawyer in our Vancouver office. Kelvin’s primary area of practice is corporate/commercial law, with particular emphasis on the purchase and sale of businesses, commercial real estate and real estate development.

Mr. Stephens is known for his deep experience in real estate matters, including land assembly, development approval, land rezoning, mortgages, secured lending, limited partnerships, sales and acquisitions. His practice is one of the most active in the Vancouver and BC insurance industry in the purchase and sale of insurance brokerages and MGAs, having represented many brokerages in both acquisitions and sales.

Kelvin has presented papers on mergers and acquisitions, buying or selling an insurance brokerage, mortgages and real property. He also coordinated a seminar on Buying and Selling an Insurance Brokerage sponsored by the Insurance Brokers Association of British Columbia. A Vancouver lawyer for over 25 years, Kelvin Stephens has also lectured on commercial law for the Society of Certified Managerial Accountants.

A former rugby player, Kelvin joined the firm over two decades ago in part because his LK Law colleagues were not overly dismayed by the sight of an occasional rugby-induced injury or two. In recent years, he has been an avid water skier, wake boarder and snow skier.
