Annual Events

At LK Law, we put our collective hearts and souls into a number of special fundraising traditions. As an organization, we are a law firm that gives back to the community – something we value very much.

For the sheer challenge of it, the 200 km BC Lung Association Bicycle Trek for Life and Breath is an annual highlight in both our Vancouver and Langley law offices. Every year, our lawyers and staff look forward to fielding the best possible team for this two-day ride through the picturesque Fraser Valley to raise funds for vital lung health research, programs and clean air initiatives. LK Law Participants include Daniel Jeffrey, Travis Brine and Perminder Tung. Over the past three years, Team LK Law has raised over $30,000.

LK Law participates in HoopLaw, joining others in Vancouver’s legal community in this basketball tournament aimed at bettering the lives of the city’s most disadvantaged children. The 2010 LK Law members were Stephen Wong, Stephanie Binnersley, Raj Patro, Perminder Tung, Jamie Gopaulsingh, Aynsley Laluk, Melissa Bryden, and Tim Goepel, whose efforts on the ball court raised $1200.

LK Law also supports Camp Moomba run by the Western Canadian Pediatric AIDS Society (WCPAS) for children affected by the disease, and Kenneth Gordon School, where the students are children with dyslexia and specific learning difficulties.

Other annual traditions at LK Law include Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade’s Golf Tournament, Laughter Through Tears, a fundraiser for ovarian cancer led by our Vancouver law partner Angela Thiele, and the Ride to Conquer Cancer, organized by Andrea Cowie, a paralegal in our Vancouver office. Recently, an LK Law team raised $2822 for the Winners Walk of Hope, also a benefit for Ovarian Cancer Canada.
